I drove it for the first time in a few weeks. I also put fresh gas in it. The last fill was 4/20 at $3.609/gal and today was $4.159/gal. It felt good to take it out.
I pumped my jeep’s system full of A/C recharge again. I used a stop-leak product this time around. The jeep’s got 260k miles on it, so I just want it to work.
I tried putting new tires on today, but it turns out Mercury Mariner/Ford Escape wheels have a smaller bore than is needed on the Liberties. So, I’ll have to arrange a swap at a shop after all. These are the tires that we had just put on my wife’s car before she totaled it this winter.
It’s going to get fresh gas to ight on my way home from work. I have some cedar planters in it I made, so the jeep smells fabulous.
If it keeps looking at me the way it does, I’m gonna cut the muffler out and act like I’m back in high school…
I have not experienced anything like that in mine except for when the traction control takes over. That said, I can power right through the brakes in first gear, so I don’t believe there is any kind of torque modulation.

In all seriousness, I’ve never felt like I was lacking too badly in my ‘07. It seems like the traction control is the only issue.
Got the wife a new rig yesterday. 2009 Mercury Mariner Premier V6 AWD. It’s actually on the basic side of premier. It has leather heated seats, factory subwoofer, accent lighting, and upgraded audiophile software in the radio. There’s still a lot to look at.
Wanna know what this car has in...
We put over 500 miles on the jerp today to go look for a ‘new’ 09-11 Mercury Mariner for my wife. She smoked a deer and totaled hers a couple weeks ago. We test drove an ‘08 that this lot just got in. The trxnny doesn’t know how to shift properly. It ran out the gears to red line and held for a...
I drove it today and yesterday. The mouse smell persists. Time to get my little ozone deal charged up and running, and then it’s an Irish Spring treatment.
I started it and let it run for 45 minutes, or so. We’re going down to -30°F tonight, so the block heater and oil pan heater are plugged in. My work van, however, needed a jump today after lunch. We finally got it started and it ran from 1:30-5:30 when I got home.
