    Recall F23

Somehow I expected more than just a ball joint change. Seems a guy that installed the Moog ball joints would be better off keeping them.

    Recall F23

Any visable difference in the ball joints?

    General Grabber AT2s are SWEET.

Here is my Liberty with the General tires in 255/70 and Rusty's lift. I've got about 7,000 miles on them. Great traction on all surfaces, including the rain. No real effect noticed on my gas milage. The will rub a little on the front sway bar at full lock. The rear will also rub a little...

245/75 or 255/70 on lifted Liberty?

Sorry it took so long to get back to you guys. My lift is the Rusty's 2.5" spring lift. The wheels are stock and I am not using spacers. In the front I have slight rubbing at full lock when turning. I believe on the anti-sway bar. In the rear I have slight rubbing on the inside of the...

245/75 or 255/70 on lifted Liberty?

Here is the tire I went with. General Grabber AT2 in 255/70. And here is how it looks on my lifted Liberty. I went with the 255 because it was a touch shorter than the 245/75. I wanted the least effect on my gear ratio. My speedometer is still accurate to within 2mph. I got the tires...

    Libby Transmission

Couldn't vote in the poll but mine is a 03 with 3.7L and 5-speed. I like it. Another advantage is the 19-22 mpg I get.

    14mpg!

Actually that was holding around 75mph. Keep in mind it was mostly downhill after crossing the summit. 7,500 feet to near sea level. The worst combined milage I've gotten so far with my Liberty is 19mpg. Much better than what my Cherokee would get.

    14mpg!

Guess I should consider myself lucky. My lifted 03 3.7L 5-speed Liberty gets 19 to 22 MPG on stock tires. The 22 mpg came during a trip to California over Donner Summit.

245/75 or 255/70 on lifted Liberty?

Folks, I’m pondering tire size for my Rustys lifted 03 Liberty. I’ve narrowed my choices down to a 245/75 or 255/70 on the stock 16” aluminum wheels. I want more tire than the stock 235/70 with minimal rubbing and gearing impact. I’m leaning toward the 255/70 for those reasons as it is a...

    Lifting my 03

Yep, Those are the stock tires. I still haven't decided on replacement tires.

    What strut compressor??

I got the strut compressor from Auto Zone. The hooks would not fit between the front spring coils. I lucked out and on a Saturday found a local independant shop that changed everything out for $25. Just took the guy about 10 minutes.

    Lifting my 03

I put the Rusty's coil lift on mine. No major problems. I gained 3" in the front and 2.5" in the rear. Rides great. I was pleasantly surprised to find the front struts are OME. Now I need tires and rock rails.

    Installing Rusty's 2.5" Lift

I installed my Rusty's spring lift today. It was surprisingly easy. Much easier than the the lift I had installed on my Cherokee. Eric, your directions were great!! I found I did not have to disconnect the lower balljoint. In hindsight, it may have been easier disconnecting the bottom and...

How did you first find your KJ?

I spend a lot of time exploring the Northern Nevada desert. I drove a 98 Jeep Cherokee. It was very capable with an OME lift, No-slip locker and 30” tires. No real problems with it but I was considering putting more money into it and wasn’t sure I wanted to do that. I was checking out my...

What is the recommended strut compressor for replacing the KJ strut and springs? Will this work?
