I am amazed they havent recalled the upper panhard bar or watts link as well, mine looks like it will be failing soon, and the undercarriage has zero rust.. clearly made out of inferior steel and lousy paint seal on it.

My 06 renegade has recently started doing this to, door seals are somewhat worn. But curious as to any in depth diy approach to this.

I removed my trailer hitch and mounted the camera directly to it so it is within inches of the ball/reciever. Makes backing up to a trailer a breeze, and it is well protected. Occasionally I have to wipe the lens off. But it works great

Go with alpine. Customer support is great, and out of all the double din units.. alpines consistently have the best audio section. Imho. But then again I am into having my car sound like a band is on the hood playing... just me.
