this was the solution after i replaced the solenoid thats connected to the valve body.

i used a bluedriver scanner to pull codes the car pulled two codes, originally. the current code and one indicating solenoid pack was toast. replaced solenoid and the car is still misbehaving minis the solenoid code. when i first drive the jeep it shifts up fine. after a certain point...
