Hmm... Have you tried contacting the Jeep service department? They may be able to 'make' you a key, if you give them the VIN (and provide proof of ownership). Somewhat of a long shot, but would save a WHOLE lot of issues/trouble..

Mine were so encrusted with rust and crud, I couldn't see anything. Finally decided to clean them, see if I could use them - no, not really, however in doing that I managed to uncover that Bendix number (#3211461), which was only fully readable on one of the two old 'parking brake struts'...
