autotran stuck on 2nd not 1st gear

2008 jeep liberty 6 4wd a/t

hi all

every time the vehicle shift lever on D and and when it stops the the auto trans stucks on 2 nd gear not 1st unless shift lever put on N then to D .

really, i use Korean carmanscan lite for retrieving trouble codes it is not powerful for European and American vehicles, it pulled tcm trouble code 055 and 117, i don't know what those two codes are, is the cause valve body?

Not sure the cause, but I will tell you that your trans is going into "Limp Mode." It stays in second gear to prevent damage and to get you home.

Hard to say, it could be anything from a bad sensor to a failing transmission. Sadly the Jeep TCM codes aren't available online, as far as I've been able to find. Your only hope may be a dealership. :shrug:
