Roof-top tent

I was just replying to another thread on actually sleeping in the back of the KJ. I was wondering, has anyone ever used ome of the "On-the Roof" tent rigs like ARB sells?

Just courious, probably costs more than a few nights at the Motel 6, but that's why we bought Jeeps in the first place!

That thing is pretty bad a$$ but would SUCK if you decided to roll over in the middle of the night.

I'd be more worried about blowing away in the wind. A ground-level external-frame dome is MUCH safer. That thing does look pretty cool though.

I know guys in areas where you have to worry about wild animals and snakes who swear by them... Wouldn't be my cup of tea climbing up in there but otherwise i guess it wouldn't be too bad unless you had a windy night.

Wind doesn't affect them as much as you think they would ARB Seth had one on his KJ with the SFA done.

I have one. It is pretty nice to show up and be set up in 5 minutes, plus leave the bags in the tent when you pack up. Biggest pain is taking it on and off as it is a 2 person job, but worth it.

Hahaha. My thoughts exactly. That's a long way down when you are still half asleep.

That is Awesome! A changing room and everything. Camping has come a long way.
