Please Help! 2002 KJ interior bulb question...

incase anyone was wondering you can do it without taking out the console.

pry up part number 2 in the above diagram,
then remove the lower cover (has P R N D etc on it)
then remove the white cover over the light
then remove the diffuser (clear part that spreads the light through the shifter housing, then remove the bulb.

Here is the OEM part from the company. They make a replacement part. You can buy the replacement part from Mouser. I replaced it using the new part from Mouser a couple weeks ago and its worked great.
