Hello if there is a topic on this please send me the link I couldn't find anything. My 2002 3.7 engine is bad and I'm not interested in replacing it with another 3.7 I have a 1997 2.5 with a manual ****** I'm looking to swap in I have all the mechanical stuff figured out, I could care less about alarm, door locks, gauges, AC, etc. I need to know what wires and involvement would be needed for it to crank and fire? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

The 2.5 has a lower gear ratio than the 3.7 and CRDs. Much lusted after by 3.7 owners with bigger tires so don't send them to scrap. Just another complexity for the swap.
