tcm code?
It may..
I found this on there site
Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep Testers : Linear Logic : Home of the ScanGauge
If i understand it correctly, the device can detect firmware ver of PCM and TCM for some testing there doing. So it looks like It can talk to the TCM.
I use my scangaugeII to monitor Transmission temps in real time. Not sure if that means it's talking directly to TCM or not.
I put an email into there support staff regarding the ability to pull/retrieving TCM codes.
So soon as I hear something back I'll post it on here.
Alrighty,
Here's the response I got from there Support.
"The ScanGauge will only read and clear trouble codes that cause the check engine light."
Now, I never had any tranmission issues so.. Does the KJ turn on a seperate indicator for transmission issues?

How are you getting it to report transmission temps? Can't find it on my Scanguage II for my 03
I just bought an Innova 3160, $180 on Amazon. I got that one so I could do airbag codes on my Acadia.. but I connected it to my 03 KJ and I see ECM and TCM data, including some live data from the Liberty. I have 24 live data feeds it reads. Over 40 on my 08 Acadia. Including trans temp.
No doubt the Solaris is a nice scanner.. but it seems overkill.
