So this is a question for some of us that happen to be just a little OCD. Is the 160amp alternator a direct replacement for the 136amp alternator or are there other electrical issues to consider in making the swap? Also I read about a lot of battery upgrades and want to know what is the opinion of the OPTIMA batteries?
Can't just install a 160 amp
Optima .............:beatdeadhorse5::icon_rolleyes:not good anymore

Yea ever since they moved manufacturing to Mexico they've gone to sh##. Consistently dying in 2-2 1/2 years for $200, not even close to being worth it.

One note for adding a high output alternator is that the PCM will fry if you connect up a alternator that is high output. The way to get around this is to wire in a external voltage regulator, also you can put in a external voltage regulator once the internal voltage regulator fails like me.
