Im fixing a 2004 Jeep Liberty and the last part I need is a fender. Is there a difference between if the fender flare is painted or not? When I check the inventory for the fendor on a used auto parts website, it asks me if the fender flare is painted or texturized. I dont want to bring it home and find out it doesnt fit, so is there a difference?

Fit should be the same, mine is textured plastic, no paint. Painted fenders look just like the rest of the Jeep.

pretty sure the painted were only on the limited but the are the same fit. The only different was the renegade flare.

Fit will be the same for 02-04. (for most models)
Finish is the difference, a painted flare won't have the texturing of the plain plastic flare.

I have a limited with the color matching fenders but I personally like the renegade ones better. Always on the look out for them at the junkyard.
