No offense to the parts store guys that get on here, but the last person they should take advice from, is probably the parts guy where they are at. PCMs dont just get cracks in them, the guy is wanting to sell more parts to keep throwing at it. $50 I doubt will give access to the same stuff we get access to, and even what we use, its written with nominal technical experience is understood. We use mitchell on demand/shopkey, identifix, iatn, and alldata. There is something called autodata, but Im told its pretty basic. At best, that $50 is going to a site that will give them some basic troubleshooting tips, and leave them guessing after a few hundred dollars more in parts,lol. If the fan works on high, and its boiling over/overheating, especially if it does it rapidly, then its time to get a block tester, aka CO tester. Any good parts store has them in stock.
