Auxiliary input adapter or ipod interface?

Considering one of the subject items for my ipod and portable DVD player. The auxiliary input adapter seen here allows the audio from both ipod and dvd (great) Then i scrolled down the page and found this ipod interface that (according to the specs) will allow me to control, charge the ipod and it also has a dvd auxiliary input-- has anyone hear of this?

I went with the aux input and am not sorry at all. Now I can play my iPod, or whatever I want. But it would be nice to be able to control the iPod, but I am happy with my decision \/

arent the one's from logjam allow you to control it?..
