Folks,

First time post. In order to get heat out of the vents, it takes about twenty tries on the temp select knob to the "heat" position before the blend doors will fully shift to heat. But when going back to cold, it only takes one turn of the temp selector knob and the doors will go back . I have troubleshot this problem to either the "blend door" or the "blend door actuator". I can hear the doors moving. But, my troubleshooting stops there since I have no idea how to get to the doors or the actuator. I know it's behind the dash, but I'm not savvy enough to remove the dash. Is there another technique to replace the actuator to see if that is the culprit without having to remove the dash?

Any help appreciated.

I'm posting my problem with blend doors on this forum right now... The blend door actuator is on the driver side to the right of the steering column. I've attached a terrible pic (sorry). I'm looking into how to access the blend doors. Good luck to you!
