    how to replace egr valve on a 2.8 crd 05?

    I just had the CEL come on and got the code for the egr. I took it to a mechanic and they said that it either needs to be replaced or to have the ECM reprogrammed. The reprogram apparently changes the parameters on how the EGR valve works to make it more effecient. I'm scheduled for that...
