    First time SKIM problem?

    The battery in the fob is for the push buttons, the key has a small transponder built-in, it's powered by the radio transmission from the SKIM so has no battery. I'd change the fuel pump relay just in case it's getting sticky and keep an eye on the dashboard lights to see if the immobiliser...

    The manual can't right, 4 psi at idle is nothing, it would wipe the crank out on tickover! 65 psi cold sounds like a normal pressure on startup. Warm oil pressure is more important, when the oil is hot the viscosity drops, I'd repeat the test with the engine at operating temperature.

    When you say won't crank do you mean the starter isn't turning the engine? Or do you mean it won't fire when it's spinning over on the starter.

    I'd go with a dry lube, double benefit because nothing sticks to it too.

    Check the supply or run a couple of cables directly from the battery if you haven't got a meter, if it still won't go then its probably time for a new one.

    I'd guess bad battery, they are old school and have a high voltage bus that's easy corrupted if the voltage dips on startup.

    The factory manual has a lot of information on the engine, make sure you pin the balance shafts for reassembly.

    Transmission speed sensors are used by the Transmission ecu to decide which gear to select, the one on the diff is used by the body ecu for the speedometer and ABS.

    There was an old way of defeating the ERG without getting it mapped out using a little circuit to fool the ECU, it may be worth researching it as a see that the tuners in America aren't allowed to delete the EGR anymore??

    This picture shows it. I pinched the picture from lost jeeps! This is the sensors you need to clean, don't be tempted to use anything other than a blast of carburettor cleaner, it's fragile.

    Jack the front up and set up a pointer just touching the tyre sidewall, spin the wheel and see if you have any runout. If you have any runout put the pointer on the alloy and see if that's out of true, if so try fitting the spare wheel and check that.

    Hi from SK

    Racor are part of Parker now so parts are available globally, our jeeps have a 200 series I believe. Mine was letting air in around the priming pump.
