wait...hold on....KIA SORENTO OFFROAD!?!?
Does that surprise you? It's little cousin, 1st generation Sportage doesn't do too bad either...

They're both built on a military vehicle frame.

But anyway, unless it's a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord, anything to CR is rubbish in comparison.

You are right, for some reason they tend to favor toyota in all aspects in every line, sedan, sport, suv... I don't get it, maybe they are really that good, or they just consider the "merchandise" you get for your money, stable ride, just about enough power for city rides, good mpg and quality japanese craftsmanship, that's the only reason I guess they favor toyota..

Consider the sourse - Consumer Reports - They said the KJ CRD got only 11 MPG????

Also, did you ever notice that in their write-ups the Asian Import reviews seem to have been written by a 16 year old in heat over Brad Pitt or something????

I stopped paying any attention to them years ago when they slammed a corvette because it was only a 2 seater and had no place to put anything - - - like people buy them to use as a family/cargo carrying vehicle!!

But mindless people believe every word they say.

As an owner of one...

I'm very much willing to say, from my experiences...

Mine very much has the ability to only get about 11MPG.

CR actually recommends the KJ! I think it's the only Jeep they have ever recommended.

Speaking of recommending the KJ, I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but apparently Jeep is the greenest car brand on earth...

By What Car? magazine, quite a fun read, especially when you compare the goody two shoes Toymota Prius.

Yeah, I heard Dr. Z say that in a commercial a few months back so it MUST be true...

CR has never liked Wranglers, or as a general rule, Jeeps in general...I don't pay much attention to their car reviews...or really all that much of their reviews in general...
