winch mounted on stock bumper

I've seen pictures of winches mounted on stock bumpers w/ brush guards (RRO) . Is the bumper strong enough to support this set up? I don't want to add the extra weight of an ARB, but want to have a solid winch mount. Any help would be appreciated.

I went on a Jeep offroading day and the Jeep instructor had a winch plate mounted on top of the bumper of his KJ.

I also of a European company that makes and supplies winch mounting kits for a KJ front bumper.

$782.37 Euro!!! At around $1000 USD (plus shipping... from Germany??) it seems awfully expensive, and it's just the mount, no winch included.

A bit more reasonable is the front receiver and winch mount that come as a set (obviously without the winch) at $265 Euro or approx $350 USD (shown below). Allows for winch to be swapped to the rear receiver too!
