Well, this is all fantasy, so I just imagine buying one in the pre-Stellantis days. You couldn't give me Stellantis Jeep unless the dealer paid for all service and loaner for the days it was in the shop.
LOL it couldn’t be any smaller insideI saw a 2dr XJ, and it made me ponder. So I tinkered around and came up with what you see below. So my question is "Who would be the second one in line at the dealership?".
Actually, as shown the interior dimensions would be identical.LOL it couldn’t be any smaller inside

I agree. The preference is almost entirely cosmetic. My first Jeep was an XJ 4dr.. I look now at the 2dr XJs, LR Discovery 1s, and others and think I prefer the 2dr versions. Maybe it just makes me feel less like I'm driving a grocery-getter.If new, I would choose the 2 door KJ over the 4 door. But ONLY if the rear was a hatch instead of a swing gate and detached window. I don't like the rear window system on my KJ at all. But I definitely see the benefit to being able to carry a spare tire on it.
Go back a few years and I'd prefer a 4 door XJ over their 2 door model.
These opinions based on looks mainly. Innthe end practicality always wins me over. And hindsight is always 20/20.
