Good day,

I am curious to find out what the price of gasoline and diesel is in your neck of the woods?

Right now in the lower mainland of British Columbia,Canada(23 miles from the B.C./Washington state border) we pay:
(CDN cents per litre/USD cents per litre and per gallon)
Regular (86) Unleaded: $107.5 / 126.85 / 4.76
Mid grade(87)Unleaded: $111.5 / 131.57 / 4.93
Supreme(89) Unleaded: $116.9 / 137.94 / 5.17
Diesel $106.9/ 125.00/ 4.69

Cheers

I run Regular Unleaded and paid $2.39 for it yesterday. Prices spiked from the lower $2 range to as high as $2.55 in the last week.

Every now and then i'll run a can of Seafoam through the tank to keep things nice and clean.

Why would anyone run anything other than what factory says? Regular, or juts run the cheapest you can get!
And for CRD, diesel.

Prices in my area are running about $2.49/$2.59/$2.69 for 87/89/93 octane. I only use the cheapest regular I can find.

I typically get regular at whatever Chevron station I'm nearest when I get low, I have their card and I don't really care what the price is so I rarely pay attention to that.

Yesterday though I was at Sam's club and filled up at $2.29 per gallon, which I think was $.10 lower that Chevron. Again, not that it really mattered - I just didn't want to make another stop.

If I'm towing I use premium.

I run 91 octane for the Jet chip I have, and in my manual it say's to run premium when towing for better performace/cooling.Premium is $2.59 a gallon here in Colorado Springs, when I'm home I can run the mid-grade(which is 90 octane) it's cheaper then the regular 87 octane gas cause it has 10% ethenol. My KJ loves ethenol,it runs SOOOOOO much better and I get about 3 mpg better mpg then the crap here in CO.

When you tow, the engine is put under more strain which makes it run hotter. This can cause Pre-detonation since you do not have as much Octane in the fuel. With a higher octane, it can withstand a higher temp before it Pre-detonates. O:)

Wow, does that mean you get where your going before you expect to??? :-s

j/k, I know you meant 'pre-detonation'...

haha, I fixed it.

Spell Check changed it to that. I spelled it wrong from the get go and I didnt realize it changed it to that and not detonation. O:)

LOL!!! (rotflmao)

If I could get to where I was going before I expected to, maybe I would see that I didn't really want to be there in the first place.....

I just filled up at $2.49 for regular at the Irving. I love that the JK takes regular, as I just came out of a Saab that took premium, and 93R+M/2 fuel is pushing $3 around here now...Hell, some places I get myself into I'm lucky to find gas period, nevermind having to find premium (biggest reason that the FJ is a mall-crawler-capable, but a mallcrawler nonetheless) out there in the (literally) sticks. Cheap gas is good gas in a jeep. If I was planning on going to high-altitude (10,000'+ASL), I would probally look for mid-grade fuel (or just put a turbo into the jeep \:D/ ), but there's no 10,000'+ around here, so I stick with whatever I find.
