My CRD didn't come with alarm, so i have to get one, but i don't know if worth to pay $200 plus S&H to Chile $50 +/- for the mopar original alarm or i just go to a local shop for a good alarm for $180, one that can work with the jeep control (i don't want to loose the back glass open button)

what do you think is a better alternative?

Thanks!!

If I were you, I'd stick with a mopar and have the dealer install it. I've seen alot of those aftermarket alarms on all kinds of cars go wacko for no reason. Plus, if you do have problems with it, it's the dealers fault and they get to fix it for you!

Just my $.02

I installed this in my jeep. Took me two days and hours of going through the service manual to find all the required wires. I think you maybe better off getting the factory alarm unless there is a feature you want that it doesnt have, like paging you if it goes off.
