Good to hear you made it thru without any structural damage.
Was watching live tv the crane toppling over was an eye opener..
Sounds like there will be lots of tree clean up in the days ahead.

Chuck have you had your first frost yet?

With a high windstorm, the Jeep was attacked today by huge dropping chestnuts from 30 feet up, hitting the hood/ roof while driving !
Sounded like a small brick hitting the roof, bang clunk, bang!
I felt sorry for anyone walking under these trees, like need a hard hat or what!
Look at the size of these projectiles !

Luckily no dents but a few paint chips.

    I remember those from NY.

Don't park under oak trees either; They shed their acorns when the sun hits them in the morning. They're a lot smaller but they have that tiny point.

We're getting pummeled with hickory nuts and black walnuts right now. Wouldn't think they'd be bad but quite heavy when still in their husks...

I got hit on the shoulder while out walking my dog a few days ago. Felt like a BB gun.

I'm subscribed to "coldwarmotors" on YouTube and he's located in BC... I haven't seen him posting about the weather just yet...

We have a big Black Walnut in our yard thankfully away from the cars... Our Squirrels turn the green pods into dive bombers... and it does smart a lot getting hit with them....

This week in Canton, Ohio, USA we are forecast to have 90f/32.22c temperatures when it normally should be 75f/23.9c... Fall is not here yet...

Is mid-October too early to commence with my winter of discontent?

We got 1.83" of rain on Sunday.

We've gotten close to 1" today.

Think we're out of the drought.

Last drought I remember was 1989. I want to see the winters we had between 1998 and 2007 again rather than the cold ones with all the snow
