Waterpump location on 2.4?

Idler pulley had a minor meltdown this morning and took the belt with it. Figured I would drive it the rest of the way to work without power steering/ac/alternator. The guy at the parts shop tried telling me the water pump is also on the serpentine belt. I could have sworn it was run on the timing..

I hope its not on the serpentine because I drove it for about 40 minutes without one.

I would just take a peek but I'm at work and the jeep is en route back to my house on a flatbed. Hoping someone can tell me the parts guy is wrong so I didn't bake the motor :shrug:

The water pump on the 2.4 gas engine is timing belt driven.

Yup, in the timing. And they wanted an extra $195 to put it on with the pulley. I just bought the parts and did it in the parking lot. :smokin:
