water pump torqing necessary

DD water pump needs replacing. Have a new one from mopar along with hoses . I see on all the vid's to torque the bolts down. My torquq wrench is not here yet and the day is great for working outside and would like to get started. Never did an aluminum WP before but I know enough not to over tighten and crack the aluminum housing. Should I wait for the wrench/ My only driver. Thabnks for any input. 2005 limited.

There is torque sequence and requires a torque wrench in increments required.

& tighten it properly, once you have the torque wrench, would be my recommendations.

You won't crack the housing but it probably will leak if you don't do the sequence. Any of the chains have a free loan-a-tool program like uss2defiant said.

I recommend when installing the new pump to scrape all rtv off the mounting surface. I also used some heavy weight oil to lube the gasket, no leaks with this method.

WP uses a gasket. No rtv.
