Just bought the xtool a30m v.2 wireless obd2 scanner. Any thoughts or opinions about it? Was looking to get a good scanner for a decent price for the first time and figured I would go with that. I always had the basic 20 to $50 ones. Always wanted one just never had it in the budget.

Ive herd of that happening. I'm not gonna be leaving it in 24/7 or anything. I had a decent wireless one years ago but it wanted monthly subscription. So I always stuck to the cheap wired ones.

I’ve used a Blue Driver wireless scanner with good results on BASIC troubleshooting. Will not do extensive bi-directional scans. Is upgradesble (haven’t used yet) but is better overall than my old wired ACTRON unit

Bluedriver has been a good tool for me. You can get it from amazon or straight from the website. They have pretty good discounts sometimes. I have 6 different vehicles in the farm including a 2007 Rocky Mountain Jeep Liberty and the Bluedriver has served me well.

I think the XTool A30M is an excellent Bi-Directional scanner for most home use especially for its price. I love that it gives a voltage readout as soon as you plug it in. I use the D9HD at work a lot and like it so much I bought the D9S for home use.
Most negative reviews are People not understanding the scanner and its functions. They buy a bi-directional scanner hoping to control there vehicles functions but find that it doesn't work on their specific vehicle. Most functions are model-dependent and limited by the vehicle's computer, or only work on certain makes and models. This limitation is not a fault of the scanner but rather a result of vehicle design and the individual buying a scanner thinking its going to perform magic.
All in all i think its a very good Bi-Directional scanner.

You might have already seen this video but here is a good review.
