I have things roughed together now. It hasn’t been too difficult so far for my first go at this.

Looking good! Tighten bushings with jeep on it's wheels, you're ok to Tighten ball joints while still in th air.

Excellent, thank you! I was pondering this during my cooldown break here. I knew some things must have the weight on them.

The springs and shocks are in, everything torqued properly. I do still need to do the lower ball joints up front, but I’m going to do the stuff at the rear first. Good to see all the wheels back on again. I haven’t measured anything, but there sure seems to be a lot more wheel well up there.

No use to measure until you get an alignment first thing since it will drop 1/2 inch or so
Then put 700 to 1000 miles on it ( with a lot of twisting it up ) another alignment then you can measure

Right, haven’t forgotten about most of that. It just plain looks high now.

Anyone considering doing a lift in the driveway would do well to invest in a good pair of knee pads. I couldn’t access things any other way. I also really needed that new impact wrench to get things apart.

Hindsight: I should have bought new cap nuts for everything. A couple of them got threads messed up somehow. Fortunately the dealer had the two that I needed.

Only issue now at almost 68 is getting up and down

What's the old George Burns joke? "I bend over to tie my shoes and wonder if there is anything else I can take care of while I'm down there."

I did a ton of canning and was putting about 60 jars on the bottom of a pantry shelf and thought I'd never be able to straighten up again.

Been out doing some errands today. Big difference in how it reacts to speed bumps. More like “Wot hump?” now. Very smooth in general.
