It all started for me when my dad came home with a 2nd hand Cherokee Chief when we lived in West Africa the name in its self sparked the imagination to a 16 year old.

Nice Jeeps.

Curious about the UAZ. Is it a diesel and what year is it? They got dealers over there?

The UAZ is a UAZ Hunter 2.7 lt fuel injection petrol on a gas conversion, it also has air con, 7 seater, with AK74 rack The electrics and fuses are set up as Port & Starboard, couldn't fault it to be honest except a tad slow on roads, and the whine from the tires.
I believe there is a dealer in the UK, my Jeep i bought in Bulgaria where I was living for 7 years, so servicing was not a problem , in fact it is such a robust vehicle any work on it was easy to do.
cheers
Ian
