Thats why I never go to Zoos, can't stand to see the animals caged up, so much better to see them out in the wild. Everytime I go back to Tanzania I could set for hours just watching the animals.
Actually there is a place down in Georgia that has giraffes and stuff like that roaming free. It's been years since I've been there and don't remember exactly how much land they have to roam but it seemed like a decent amount. They let you drive your truck through and the animals will come up to the vehicle and you can feed em. Little better than a zoo. Sent from my HTC One using the power of Mary's purse
They have one of those east of here in Port Clinton ( Ohio) as well, still sucks for the animals I think. There is also a huge one in central Ohio that is close to 10,000 acres, its not too bad since they have room to roam. Nothing like seeing them in their natural environment just hanging out though. In the drive thru's you never get a chance to see a Lion make a kill.
I agree I'm sure it does suck for the animals, but I also think it's cool that people who can't afford to travel to see them in their natural environment have an opportunity to see them without looking through a fence. Definitely one of those mixed feelings kinda things. Sent from my HTC One using the power of Mary's purse
