Seat rail extenders for a tall guy?

Since I've been driving my 05 a lot more than usual, now that I have it up and running from it sitting for a year at a friends house, I've notice my knee is hurting driving. I realized I could use at least another inch, or three, to "fit" better in the Jeep.

Anyone have experience with using this? Is it safe? Any other suggestions / products besides this?
