maybe pics later

I did it once using my truck K&N just to see if it would work. It does work perfectly and has all the growl and benys&fits as the expensive ones.

I went back to a K&N drop in because I don't like it exposed to the elements nor do I like to clean it more often. (Dusty here) The guys that run open should have noticed their oil gets dirty faster too.

It looks about the same as the store bought jobbers except eveything is black because you are using the existing hose. The truck filter is like a big barrel capped on one end and flows better.

If you take your airbox out, you can zip tie it to the side well.

I think the filter was $45 and the PVC was less than $2

Try it out, If you don't like it then take the filter back.

Heck, you don't even have to buy it. Just look at it in the store and you'll know it works.

because

Because I have a 1996 chevy, I'm not sure what others have the shape and usability. that filter basically looks like the one you are paying big bucks for with that kit except bigger
