Hey Dale, I would save your money and pass on those Rough Country KK struts. They will physically bolt up since the clevis and top hat line up, but under the weight of our 3.7L V6, standard budget linear springs lose their memory pretty quickly and end up sagging.
I’m no expert by any means, but I’ve tried a few setups on my own KJs over the years to figure out what works best for me. Most guys on the forums swear by Old Man Emu (OME), and while it’s a super popular go-to, I actually ran OME for a bit and ended up switching. It just wasn't quite what I was looking for in terms of long-term ride feel on my daily setup.
I ended up trying
H&R progressive springs (part #29203-1), and they’ve been fantastic for me:

- Holding height: They’re shot-peened high-tensile steel, so mine haven't dropped (sagged) at all after several years of heavy use.
- Daily comfort: Because they’re progressive, the top part of the coil soaks up small bumps and washboard roads super smooth—much better than the OME I had—but they firm up nicely when you take a corner.
If you ever decide you want more than the standard 1.5-inch spring lift down the road, you can stack them safely. I ended up combining the H&R springs with a 3/8" clevis shim, a KK clevis fork, and a top plate spacer. Thanks to our front IFS 2:1 motion ratio, that setup got me up to 4.25 inches of clean lift without relying on big top spacer blocks. Pair it with Bilstein shocks and aftermarket upper control arms like JBA to keep your ball joints happy, and it drives great.
Just sharing what's worked well on my rig after trying a few options! Hope that helps you narrow down your list.
