Roof Rack mod

I bought this roof rack off marketplace for $25 but this metal bracket doesn't wrap all the way around the existing lifted rails even when fully tightened by allen wrench. Any ideas how to secure it? Thanks!

May have to switch to a smaller diameter bar like came on everything but the 05 to 07 limiteds

Mine is an 03 limited and all the roof rails I saw on the junk yard website are the same as mine, or at least looked the same

Mine is an 03 limited and all the roof rails I saw on the junkyard website are the same as mine, or at least looked the same. I was wondering if I could use big p clamps but the largest ones I can find are 2". I'm thinking I could try p clamps, conduit hanger, or could try to manufacture a better metal bracket to wrap around. Thoughts?

Limiteds had a larger bar than sports etc
