Rear Window Troubles

Recently with this cold weather and ice, the rear wiper will take some encouragement to get going. I have to give it a bit of a push to get started, and it will then forget where it started from, and not click back to its spot. Anyone else have this problem?
Another thing, one of my defroster contacts fell off and I glued it back with that repair kit, and now it will not melt the snow at all like it used to. I can hear the relay click on, the light comes on, but the window doesnt warm up. Any suggestions?

I can feel the winter approaching again. This issue has not been resolved because it does not snow in the winter. However, I would like to see it fixed because the first frost has come already! Any suggestions? Oh and the stupid rear wiper is really confused, it cant find its home when it stops.
