Re-gearing: crush sleeve or solid spacer?

Has anyone here eliminated their crush-sleeve when they re-geared?

I picked up the Ratech 4114 solid spacer ('crush sleeve eliminator') for the 8.25". I'm not especially impressed with how loose it fits on the pinion shaft. I don't know if I want to use it.

I'm trying to decide whether to buy the crush sleeve or spacer for the front. The Yukon crush sleeve says it fits KJ and JK. Nitro (SKCSD44RS) and Ratech (#4120) only lists their spacer for the JK. Anyone know for sure if it fits a KJ? And if its a better fit than on the 8.25"?

So everybody used crush sleeves?

Got my 3.73s, bearings, and D30 open carrier... boy Jeep stuff is small lol
