    Lucky!
    My nine cats all snore!
Usually 4 out of 9 sleep on top of me. One always sleeps on my head!
Then tries to nurse on my nipple...
I don't think so! That's when she experiences involuntary flight!:D

Well we have a security alarm thingy on the house now. It's been in for a whole 6 hours and I hate the POS already. It keeps beeping whenever a door is opened and won't stop until its closed. How annoying. Oh and it lets you know what door or window too.

The cool thing though was this security camera we have now too. I can't wait to hook up a computer to it. :D Neighbors are jealous of the system. (To be expected.)

Don't ask why my mom decided to get all of this done. I can't even begin to tell you. But if it helps her sleep at night and calm down while she's away then it's cool I guess.

Door chime has been disabled. Much to the disappointment of my sister but who cares, I hated it, and my mom was hollering about me not being interested in the alarm system so there's my interest. Goodbye door chime. :)

Anywho, I've got the computer for the camera, I just need to buy the parts to set it up for recording! :hee:

What's everyone's thoughts on the sign in the front yard? I'm thinking it should be removed because if a burglar sees it they might cut the phone line before they even get into the house.

We've been having problems with our DSL ever since the install. I soldered the wires he tapped for the dialer and bam... no problems since.

I used to install DSC security systems, and with those and others brands you can disable the door chime. Your owners manual should tell you how to turn it off.
And if the phone line does get cut, the panel sends a trouble code to the alarm monitoring station as well as a call to police so they can respond. I know that Alberta, you got three free false alarms to your home or business and after that, the R.C.M.P.
Issues you a nice $500.00 fine every time a false alarm goes off!
I also used to install cellular up link back up systems which call out to the monitoring station instantaneously. This way your home or business is covered regardless of a cut phone line.
We would also add motion detecting spy camera's that look like smoke detectors or in a clock radio, teddy bears, etc. that come on automatically and start recording digital feed instantly when somebody steps on a pressure sensitive switch in a rubber floor mat laying in front of the cash register or if some thing appears in front of the lens.. We had one fast food joint that kept having money disappear magically out of her till.
Low and behold, one of her employees steps on the mat the very next day after the install and she pinches $150.00 and places the cash in her bra while we are all sitting in the bosses office explaining how it will work and we witness the whole crime and recorded it!
Busted, but the manager didn't do anything right away, on the advice of the Police, she ended up recording some twenty plus thefts totalling a few grand!
Now he female employee is sitting in the Gray bar hotel!
You can even have it streamed to your cell phone!
    That was a fun job.

We have the sign, but it's so faded that you can't read it from the street.....

Our wire is hidden out of sight, and painted to match the house.

    Your phone line?
It's not underground or aerial and comes in off the street off a pole?
Then down a stack into the wall.
    Just curious.

I'm pretty sure it runs underground to my house, but I think there's some wire on the side.....maybe it's the cable service. They get sloppy with the way they run wires.....

Oh yeah, got a compliment on the KJ today from a TJ owner....

^ Won't catch any of those here. :)

I'm 100% convinced that the internet is full of (censored) that refuse to read message board posts completely. Is it really THAT HARD to read into each word that's posted? Lazy bastards.

They'd have never passed my 10th grade English class.

BTW: Our phone lines are above ground, and go to a pole behind the house. Old school.
