They seem to be about right. I have a bungee strap holding a bag full of tools and a box with jumper cable and crap in it. With those stacked the hook is right at the top.

The other bag is full of megs stuff and it holds the bag about perfect. Just enough to keep the bottles from turning over and such.

I just read the manual and you're wrong, they are NOT for groceries. They are specially sized for the plastic bags from hardware, auto parts, liquor stores, and fast food places. Using them for groceries (except Beer, Coke, and Doritos) actually voids the warranty.

They own Bugatti too. They make the world's second fastest car, the Bugatti Veyron. In contrast they own Skoda so it kind of evens out.

Did you ever see the Top Gear run of that thing? V16 with 4 turbos. Stock tires are extimated to last 15 mins at 253 mph, but that's OK, because the fuel runs out at 12 mins ;-)

The warranty is voided if you put it in performance mode. There's a second key you insert, and the whole car drops down and the spoiler drops in to an optimum position. I had to wipe the drool off my keyboard after watching that. FWIW, I think they are fugly, but who cares when you're having that much fun???
