Why would work schedule me for only 3 days this week....and ask if I'm available to come in nearly every day? You could just schedule me normally...

The Patriot got pelted by hail in a bad way coming back from Colorado last weekend. Estimates for repair are hovering around $6000, so far. It looks pretty sad too. :(

Do you not have insurance for that? In parts of SA with the Summer rains hail is pretty common!

Bad news though...even with my insurance it would hurt to have my beloved Jeep get injured.

Oh, yeah... it's covered. I took it for the estimate today. They've priced repair out at a minimum of $5000, but they're still unsure if they can salvage the roof. If not, tack on another $2000-2500. It's scheduled to go in next Monday.

We were thinking of going to Colorado. (Fly out and rent a Wrangler for exploring some passes, Crystal Mill, etc.)
But the cycle hasn't sold and some medical bills are creeping up that put the kybosh on that plan.

So, we are thinking of doing a loop around Lake Superior instead. I've been wanting to do it as a motorcycle tour for years, but with my back/neck issues we are just gonna make it a Jeep trip.

Hopefully once I can get the spine sorted, I can get back on 2-wheels next summer

Lake Superior is nice. I drove the north coast in '05. No side trips since I had thousands of miles to go.

In 1996 I took my daughter on a two week vacation. We saw all five Great Lakes, though we just barely brushed up against a couple of them.
