I missed out on a set of 5 2014 Rubicon wheels for $250. Called the guy yesterday, they sold on Tuesday.:favorites68:

Been researching lifts for the WK2. Seems like RRO, Eibach, Dobinson, and OME are the only options.
    RRO is out.
Can't find much info on Dobinson
Eibach seems OK and gets decent reviews.
OME is the only that offers choice of coils, which makes me think that's the way I will go. OME Medium...once I squirrel away enough pennies.

Yeah, I'm seeing lots also. There seems to be enough out there, so I'm not real pressured to buy until I find the right deal. Once I sell the KJ, i'll get a little more serious.

So if you have an old tired engine, NEVER EVER EVER NEVER put synthetic or synthetic blend in it. IT WILL burn and leak oil faster than you can put it in. That is all

I'd like to throw a set of them on my WK as well, but sounds like I need to run spacers with them, which I am not comfortable doing.

My plan is to lift and then run 255/75-17's. Would like to go to a 265, but I think I'll have issues with the upper ball joint stud/nut.

These people are doing entirely too much just to disable the ESS. I've been used to it literally since Day 1.

I just turn mine off whenever I get in it. It's second nature now.
    Ain't that the truth.

Engine stop/start. Shuts down when you stop at a stoplight and then restarts when you lift your foot off the brake.

That would annoy me as much as my old boss's Nissan sports car telling me "the door is a jar".

I've driven a few vehicles with ESS. I think I would get used to it. But my bigger concern is the wear/tear on the starter is a lot of city driving is regularly encountered. Perhaps there is some new tech to mitigate that?

Apparently it has an extra beefy starter and battery. But I imagine they'll still be less strained if I disable it. If I wanted something that felt like it'd stall at every stop light I'll drive the LR3:happy175:

most of the ESS systems i've seen use much bigger starters than the norm. They also in some cases double as generators/alternators. Pretty sure BMW was doing it that way. Fewer revolutions to kick over the motor. I drove a stick shift Mini a couple years ago with ESS, and the system was fast enough that I couldn't pop the clutch before the engine was running. To do that takes some serious torque.

Supposedly, the starter can handle the million stop/starts in a day.

I've been next to vehicles that started when the light turned green and I've driven one that had ESS and I absolutely, positively hate it.

My boss' daughter had the Mercedes salesman disable it on her car, she hated it so much.
