HJ, it doesn't have Quadra-lift...which is good because I will probably lift it. A coworker's buddy is a WK2 expert, having built 3. He has helped me come up with a recipe of upgrades to get it basically where my KJ is now.

It has tow hooks, T/C and fuel tank skids.
So, here's the plan (as funds permit)
OME 2" Medium lift possibly with JBA UCAs
JK Rubicon wheels with 255/75R17 (32"x10" tire will just fit into the spare tire well)
    Finish out the skids
    Plasti-dip the chrome and rebadge.
Husky liners, maybe Iggee seat covers
    Tow hitch and wiring
    Hood decal (similar to Trailhawk)
Powder coat the tow hooks red.

Only a Jeep guy plans his upgrades before he even decides to buy the vehicle:Insane:

You'll be glad you did. Mine look really cool! ;)

It's kind of like when women get married. "Let me list all the ways I'm going to change him around and make him better..." :happy175:

    Women marry thinking he'll change.
Men marry thinking she won't change.

    Factory Homelink installed? Check.
    Functional aftermarket heated seats? Check.
Factory roof rails and crossbars? Check.
Factory fog lights with "export" allowing fogs with highbeams? Check.

Hopefully I can get the front tow hooks on the WK this weekend, and hopefully my Android headunit ships soon as well!

I'm thinking that even when I get rid of the KJ and buy this WK2, I will still hang out on this forum. I've been perusing other Jeep forums and they seem to be populated mainly by condescending know-it-alls and total idiots.

I'll be like that guy in a biker bar saying "I used to ride all the time"

I looked for a forum to clog with my posts when I got the WK but couldn't find anything like this.

Found a KL forum that's cool but it's all about warranty repairs and stuff like that. The US LR forums are kinda rude and no one does their own work, but the UK one is a lot like here. Totally cool and helpful. BITOG is a Chrysler hate fest but good tech.

There's a reason I am still hanging around. You guys and gals rule!

I sold my KJ in Spring 2014 and went over to a new 2014 Sierra lease. As such, no need for me to be online on forums as that truck stayed 100% stock.

Jump to Feb 2017 and I pick up an '03 Yukon. There's some good legacy info out there, but you ask questions and nobody definitively seems to know anything. Additionally, every repair is like the sky is falling according to them - thus far, my shadetree ass has handled it all just fine. I don't know what they are whining about.

So, I finally pick up the WK in late Nov, and same deal - nuggets of good information here and there in legacy threads and whatnot, but overall, you really need to be able to sift through the BS. I know enough from my KJ days to decipher what's nonsense. The Facebook pages and the forums are so full of terrible misinformation it's sickening.

Now that my Jeep can go in the garage I find myself suffering seven milliseconds of panic every time I look out the window and don't see it in the spot it sat in for the last year. A couple times I have even hit the garage door opener just to reassure myself that it's still there.

Whew! Thought I was going to have to claim that.

I used to ride a Jeep.

Been shuffling the shop to fit the new woodstove better. Ended up pulling everything out from under the bench to reorganise. The jeep just watches.

I heard a rumor that profdlp has new tow hooks. I think we should give him the stink-eye until he posts pics.

I need to find time and a non-rainy day to do them. I need to pick up future MIL on Saturday and she is staying the weekend, so even that is iffy.

Speaking of which, do I need to remove the bumper to put them on? (Sure looks like it, as I don't see how I'd get a ratchet in there.) If so, is it held on with screws?
