You weren't born yet.
I don't remember anything bad in 2000. I most CERTAINLY remember the terrible storm we got in 1999 though. I didn't go to school for a week, and then they made us make up that week at the end of the year. We were pissed, the teachers were pissed, PRINCIPALS WERE PISSED...
... however I had broken my wrist in 3 places and since I couldn't DO anything they just ended the year 5 weeks early for me. Stopped my grades right then and there.
Didn't have a Bronco in '99, and didn't have a Bronco in Dec '01, therefore, it was Dec '00.
Pffft ... come on up ... 10 ft annual snowfall
You're right. That was the year that Wayne County didn't get hit bad but Macomb County was screwed.
Last good snow I remember was January 24-27, 1978
we had drifts 18-20 foot deep down home , took days to get out. My ( then ) wife was stuck at work for 5 days. I had to dig through snow and drifts about 200 foot to get to the barn to feed the horses and cattle , plus carry them water since they of course couldn't get out either
That was 37 months before Atrus made his appearance, but I have seen pics of it. My brother had dug tunnels all over the yard - it was badass! We've never had anything nearly that awesome in my 32 years.
That was the most fun I ever remember having ('78). My big brother and I dug snow tunnels all over the yard to connect the snow forts we'd built. They shut down the state (CT) for the entire week. It really was awesome….
Yes shut about everything down. At the time we owned a rest home for older women so my wife and one aide were stuck doing everything since no one else could get in. I was stuck at the farm, nothing moved :rotflmao::rotflmao:
Sounds like my company too haha

I remember that ... many, many snow days in a row ... my parents were on vacation and the snow was literally to the roof!
I was around, but too young to remember at 2 years old. I've heard the stories though. Makes me wish I was older so I could appreciate it...
I was 8, going on 9. My brother was 12. Awesome fun.
I think the adults went more than a little crazy, despite the stores of liquor my dad had in the basement (he worked for a liquor importer until '72 that sent massive quantities home).
At least we had 2 pairs of snowshoes and we could walk to a few friends' houses.
I would like to be able to enjoy the snow, not so much the cold. I do have a walking cast but mobility, is still a problem.Just beginning to get pain and swelling of joints under control (?). Time will tell if I have rheumatoid arthritis too, or if it's just the Hashimoto disease. So I'll be inside. But I do have hopes of going Ice fishing with my boys, soon. We had a lot of fun last year. Did catch anything just good fellowship.
My friend and I got some wood
Saturday, mills don't have any to sell, so my Church gave me more. A lot of people that heat with wood are low. Some are cutting trees down just to have heat.
I Love Rain! My Jeep is no longer two toned.
We are about a third of the way to 10 feet already...
We actually could use some. We had quite a bit then it got warm and shrunk. Kind of dirty too.
that's with shrinkage ... we had that warm spell too. It has literally been snowing all day and night.
