I really don't miss window AC units and the high electric bills.

A/C central set to 71 in our house, nice and chilly :)

I have a high heat tolerance but the humidity kills it for me

I posted this in the ohio chat room the other day

the AC has not been needed i have the front windows front door and the back windows open and i get a very nice cross breeze, then in the living room sitting on the coffie table i have a small 12 inch oscillating fan to move the air. then up stairs all of the windows are open with a 24 inch floor fan sitting on the dresser..... so the house stays cool so far the warmest that the house has gotten is maybe 80

for years my main mode of transportation was my bike, i would ride about 40 miles a day year round rain or shine. also from working for delphi running the anodizer with the steam dryer right next to me and being 95+ in the plant has given me a strong tolerance to the heat, and 95% of the time i drink water and maybe will have a glass of un-sweet tea i can't stand sweet tea i can just feel my teeth rotting away.

Humidity is where I draw the line. Otherwise I welcome the heat, as long as I'm dressed for it and have enough water.

Can't say that about my wife however, she likes the house cold and AC on in the Jeep.

No I don't do well in heat and humidity.
But it's the dogs panting in the basement with 2 fans on them that made me try the AC.
I have to have covers on me and my ear hurts with fans.
I have a lot of sinus ear issues humidity makes my head and face hurt.I have not found any thing that helps. The AC running all night has given me an ear ache.

I admit to having very little tolerance for heat and humidity. I attribute that to almost dying of heat stroke when I was about 6 years old. I spent 4 days in a hospital in Texas, 12 hours of that time was in ICU!!

My AC is set to 80 degrees

There is really no reason for the temp to get above 85 degrees, it's really just mother nature showing off.

Maybe try some earplugs for the noise? Might help.

No I have tinnitus- ringing in the ear and ear plugs at night makes my head to loud. I usually wear ear muffs when working with power tools too not ear plugs.
Another reason I don't drive a turbo diesel is some have a whistle that makes my ear pop.:)

I also have a rack that mounts to the side for games, I still need to get a remote that works with it some of the controls are covered up. going to make a new back cover with a patch pannal for AV and better speakers don't feel like screwing up the one that came with it

My house is shaking. Tree limbs are flying around everywhere. Hail is falling outside.

    Oh and a nice brownout...
