Power window issue

My 03 liberty is being cantankerous.
The left front window will go down, but not up. Having had the issue before, I replaced the regulator (it was under warranty), but same issue. Several words that would make a sailor blush, and your dad cringe and your mom send you to your room even if you are in your 50s, I did more trouble shooting. Checked the wiring at the plug in the door. Post one way, negative the other, telling me the switch and writing are good. Put power to the motor direct off the battery. Window rolls up and down. No strain at all. Window also moved up and down without issue when disconnected from the regulator.

Any ideas why my Jeep wants me to leave the window open all the time?

Probably that plastic tubing that the cable travels thru is split.

mine usually snaps the nylon/plastic part that the window snaps into.

difference being, when mine goes, the cable snakes up the window track and is easily seen.
