Power Folding Mirrors?

Does anyone have any advice on how to acquire the power fold-away mirrors that the export Jeep Liberty/Cherokee KJ came with? I have had a hard time finding them.

Don't bother, as they're way too fragile.

Mine came with them. The passenger side was already broken and the driver's side broke a few months later.

Every car I can find in a scrapyard, or anyone here scrapping, and those parts are already broken.

You can get replacement gear/motor kits, but they last less than the originals.

Mine are now just fixed in place with TigerSeal.

Do the standard mirrors fold in towards the window? Mine look like they might but I don’t want to force them. They don’t move easily.

Morning CMBzly, I spent many hours trying to get my power folding mirrors to work correctly only to have someone walk past from the back of the Jeep and catch the left or right mirror. This generally strips the very small gear inside the mirror. After three repairs I just pulled both mirrors out to the correct angle and used a self-tapping screw to hold them in place. Just the head of the screw holds it in the correct position and still allows the mirror to fold back if a person, tree or garage pillar hooks onto it. Now I don't have to sweat about these mirrors anymore!!!! I did this mod about five years ago - both sides. When you go off-road (or park in a very narrow road) you can manually fold them flat and reposition them when you get back onto a firm (or wider) road again.
