Hello,
I have recently done pinch weld on my 05 KJ Liberty Renegade.
I’ve cut out the inner plastic liner like in the picture. How do you guys finish the job from here? What material am I supposed to use cover this with? Rubberized asphalt undercoat spray?
Thanks!

Well if it would of been done right
there would be a flap of what you cut to melt down back over and would not need anything else
But since you did not do it that way and cut a chunk out, hopefully you did not throw that part away and can slowly melt/bend it flat , then heat up both parts and melt them together
if done right you can not even tell it was ever touched

Not giving you heck but there are easy ways to do various things to these KJs
Welcome aboard and ask questions before you start or not sure

I recently F’ed up this too. Dug through the trash and used a heat gun and a few other bits to melt it in place.

Other options a sheet of abs and some pop rivets.

Fiberglass and bed liner.
