How do you replace the PCV valve? looks straightforward but:
1- rubber hose connected feels "welded" to the valve
2- no way to turn the valve downward 90 degrees (block by metallic pipes, AC?)

any tips? thanks

Get a Mopar one for starters. And do it when the engine is warm, use a screw driver to push the hose off. The pipes won't prevent it from coming out. That whole filler tube assembly will move a little.

Yeah, like HJ says. OEM or NAPA also work good. They come out hard. Hang on to the filler neck. Push the PCV in a little and turn counter clockwise at the same time. Buy the replacement first in case you break the old one. I broke one the first time I changed mine and keep a spare in the garage.

My hose was welded on, I ended up using a hair dryer to heat it, then use flat screwdriver to get it off the PCV.
Here is the Mopar part#...

They can get plugged with foamy type gunk, more so in winter...

There is a TSB that replaces the small PCV and moves it away from the filler neck all together.
No more headaches with the updated PCV system.

Yep, have the new one there. Breaking the old one makes it easier to remove...
