Thinking of getting a KJ and I see a lot of different shock/spring combinations, using KK struts instead of KJ struts, clevis lift, JBA UCA's, etc.

Is there an optimal all suspension go to lift for people who run 32's?

Back in the day when JBA sold lift kits, the rule of thumb was 2.5-3 inches of lift for 31’s and 3.5-4 inches of lift for 32’s. That’s without cutting and without wheel spacers because wider steering arcs cause additional rubbing. Yes you could fit 32’s on a 2.5 inch lift but you’d have to hack up the wheel well liners, fenders, bumpers, etc. and pound over the pinch weld.

Ok, thanks.

Yeah, I'm surprised that they don't make upper and lower control arms that widen the stance and cut down the cv axle angle. Then just be able to swap a wider axle for the rear... Kind of like the Titan swaps for the Xterras.

Dont be surprised. These are 20-25yo vehicles now. They never got the lift/offroad attention the Wrangler got.

30" tires are a comfortable place to stop at because re-gearing the diffs to compensate... well, the front r&p's are unique and obsolete.
