Forgot to post this bad boy on here when I got it. It's an Ontario Knife Co RAT folder and it's freaking awesome. Razor sharp out of the box and my go to work knife and all around knife. Awesome grip as well.

Does anyone have a good spot to mount a good size fixed blade (8"blade) in the jeep. I got this thing from harbor freight and had the blade pitch professionally set and sharpened cheap ($3.50). This thing is really sharp now. I wont be using it much just want to have it around incase of emergency. Maybe in arms reach.

    For size comparison

Gave the handle a camo paint job with a sponge tan green and black

Was that a sponge paint technique? I keep mine to the right of the drivers seat. It fits between the track and the console, and the tip of the sheath slides right between the seat frame and the plastic backrest pivot cover.

Yep sponge paint job turned out good. Thats what i been doing but it doesnt hold it in too much. I guess if i jammed the sheath in there a little better.

I recently added another Jeep Knife to my collection, a bit smaller than the Gerber.

They both were in for a pro sharpening as well.
I am currently trying to buy or find this 9.25 inch Jeep Knife, very illusive. :emotions34:

That big one would be a nifty knife to have. It's a 15", made by Master Cutlery, and could be bought at Walmart (among other places)....not any longer.

Dave I have seen the same wooden handle Jeep Knife on ebay. All of the series of knives were made years ago now, so ebay is probably best.
I had lost my previous one, and got lucky at a second hand Pawn shop/Thrift store.
It was just sitting in the showcase, with other knives, no case, but in great condition! :party52:

A couple knifes of mine! My Spyderco Resilience is my current EDC which replaced my SOG Salute. Love the quality of Spyderco. The next knife is a Schrade SCHF9 Bush Knife I came across on sale at Bass Pro. Has been a great knife and can take a good beating and still hold an edge. Nice and solid for hacking and batoning. I recently took the rubber scales off, Stripped the grey coating with paint thinner gel and did a forced patina with mustard. Next I will make new scales out of micarta or wood as these ones are quite large and cumbersome for my Manlet hands LOL. I do know in the future this will be retired for an ESEE Junglas!
