Hey all. Just purchased a 2002 Liberty Limited in Burnt Orange! Found a diamond in the rough today with only 73,762 miles on her. Barely a spec of rust on her and just loving it. She has a few quirks (but what 19 year old vehicle doesn't) but so far so good! will post pics tomorrow. The first noticeable thing is engine heats fine and maintains temp fine but little heat in the cabin. As temp is around 0 Degrees outside now, this will be the first and most noticeable quirk I tackle right away. Anyway thanks for accepting and I look forward to learning lots from everyone in here
It's cold where you live! In the +30°s and peaking into the 40°s around here. All the quirks have happened to someone else already on this forum. Look into blend door issues. Hasn't happened to me yet so I can't help you more.
Welcome Eric to the forums. Look forward to your photos, sounds like you have a cool Jeep I hope it is not the blend door. Is the Hoat coolant at reservoir remaining at full line when hot? No leaks? Not adding any coolant?
Check the coolant level. I have had the same problem with my 2002 3.7 in Maine. My reservoir was way low. Refilled it and heating fine inside. Still haven't tracked down the leak yet, but I'm working on it.
