New Tires on my 2008 Liberty Sport 4WD

Thought I would ask you KK Folks, I live in DE, and have a 2008 Liberty Sport 4WD (162k miles) that is coming up for Inspection in September. I will be getting new tires soon (have 61k on them now), as it is getting near that time! Currently on the Liberty: 225 75 r16. My local mechanic just called yesterday and said he got a set of new tires from Tire Rack, in a mistaken shipment. They are: 245 70 r16. I did a quick tire size check and the tread on the 245(mm) is 3/4' wider, and sidewall height is very close to its current height. Will these tires fit the current stock Jeep steel wheel? They will. They’ll look beefier but they aren’t taller than stock. This size is the answer to the “what’s the biggest tire I can run without a lift” question that comes up periodically.
